I recently began my journey with the YWCA Tucson after years of hoping to get involved. This organization is so fantastic and our community here in Tucson is so lucky to have it!
There are a few initiatives that they are involved in that I want to highlight/celebrate
1. Women’s Business Center – Supporting, educating, empowering, and advancing women-owned business at every stage of their success. They teach financial literacy, marketing, and so much more.

2. BUILD Academy – This is one of the WBC programs that is having an incredible impact. If anyone you know is a new business owner (less than 2 years) and would like guided, developed, cooperative support in their new business, encourage them to attend the upcoming BUILD Academy Business Showcase and Graduation of the latest 10-week cohort. on April 24th & 25th @6-8pm at the YWCA of So AZ on 525 N Bonita.

3. Entrepreneur Coffee Chat – This monthly meetup is done once a month in Spanish and once a month in English. They bring in *very creative and interesting * speakers to kick off the meet-up and then let everyone get to know each other.
4. Women’s Leadership Conference — Last month was the 35th annual (!) event. It is always a stellar line-up and everyone in the room knows they belong! It’s awesome!
