2. Budget Beyond the Purchase Price. Consider the costs beyond the initial price tag. Renovations can be costly, and unexpected expenses often arise. Ensure you have a solid financial plan that includes a buffer for those unforeseen costs.
3. Consider Your Living Situation. Living in a construction zone can be challenging. Are you prepared to live amidst renovations, or will you need to arrange alternative accommodations?
4. Potential for Personalization. One of the biggest draws of a fixer-upper is the ability to customize your home exactly how you want it. This can be a rewarding experience, giving you a deep sense of connection to your space.
